• Review of how texts (resources) can be used to support the Common Core
• Discuss of the types and purposes of texts
• Introduction to "text sets" and how they can be used in the classroom

By the end of this lesson, Educators will:

• Have a more thorough understanding of the cyclical nature of research and inquiry
• Have an expanded definition of "texts" and how to incorporate non-traditional texts into the classroom
• Feel more confident selecting a variety of complex texts for instructional purposes
